SFO/LAS/SEA/SFO

Sorry for the delay in updates of our recent trip out to MAGIC/POOL in Las Vegas. As you know we didn’t show this time around but we still attended to meet and chill with our friends. Dan and JR came along for the ride to LV and I must say, we had a GREAT time. We all can’t wait till we show in February. Biggups to the Harveys crew, Joe, his wife Carrie, Sarah, Lindsey and of course Kristina. We had blast eatin’ Rib Eye at Lawry’s , although I had dinner with Dan and JR before so all I had was a baked potato. But damn! That potato was GOOD. I also can’t forget to mention stoppin’ by the Hecklewood booth. Keep up the great work Sam! Also, shouts to Leonard from Exact Science, Urban Kranes, and the ladies over at 5733… btw I want that “Let Them Eat Cake” and “Spit On It” tees! Anyways, Vegas was short and sweet but we’ll be back in February and with a VENGEANCE!

After LV, Dan and JR went back home to the Bay while I had a 7AM flight out to Seattle. Once I got to Seattle had to head to Pioneer Square studios for work then back to the Bay on Friday evening. WHEW! What a week. Thank heaven for the long Labor Day weekend. Sorry for the lack of pics out in Vegas but it was 100+ and the last thing I want around my neck is my camera. I promise I’ll do a better job of documenting the trip. Pics after the jump.

The whip is complete!

She’s done yall! Actually completed her this past Labor Day Weekend and I just couldn’t get off to even snap some pics. Well, now that my legs and knees are sore to the point that I can barely walk , I took the time out to grab some shots of her. It’s been almost a whole year since I rode her and DAMN am I glad I got on it and finished. HUGE MAJOR shouts out to my LBS, Bicycle Express on Williams Rd right by SJSU! Charles hooked it up and I can’t be any happier. More pics after the jizzump.

She’s almost done…

That’s right… my old Centurion I’ve had for a min is almost done. Frame was stripped, sandblasted, touched up and powdercoated. I got these Weinmann DP-18, yea yea.. i know Velocity Deep V, but I’m not cool enough/hipster enough to roll on Velocitys. Also, got a brand new chrome fork and waiting for my bmx seat to come in, that’s right BMX. Flip/flop hub in case I want to give my old knees a break from the fixed riding. Anyways, she should be ready to roll by next weekend and once she’s up and goin’ I’ll post more pics.

Direct Note Access!

Celemony shows off Direct Note Access. OK. This is some insane bugged out alien technology, coz this seems impossible. Below is a description of what it does.

“Direct Note Access is a technology that makes the impossible possible: for the first time in audio recording history you can identify and edit individual notes within polyphonic audio material. The unique access that Melodyne affords to pitch, timing, note lengths and other parameters of melodic notes will now also be afforded to individual notes within chords.”

Read more about it and watch the demo. INSANE!!

This mixtape is pure FIYAH! People will be hearing about Izza Kizza soon enough if they haven’t already. Signed to Timbaland’s Mosley label he’s a shoe in for greatness. His swagger is fresh and his flow is nice. And when you got Nick Catchdubs, Missy Elliot, Timbo, Trackademicks, and other notables in the mix it’s a done deal man. I also heard from my dude Phil Chang (Slick Corea) Izza is working with clothing label Rocksmith on some ish.

The mix is FREE, so don’t trip about coppin’ it. If you like the dude support him when his proper releases come out. With the likes of Wale, Kid Cudi, and Izza leading the new school of mixtape artists turned sign artists, Hip Hop is looking good again.

The Hundreds 5th Year Anniversary

In the world of “streetwear” there are only a handful of brands I actually like. And believe you me, there are tons of crap out there to fill every Savers from here to Hawaii all marked at $1.99 (50% off if it’s a blue tag!).

The Hundreds continue to be a staple in this new, but thriving industry. Five years, two stores, legions of fans, and several Atom bomb tattoos later they are still rocking it with no end in sight. Looks like they’re holding a pop-up store and art gallery for the month of August commemorating their accomplishments. Check it out if your in town.

The Crooks be blindin’

Yo man, these boys are truly on a level of their own. I’ve seen so many other “new age” clothing lines come and go. But Crooks? You cannot fade them. Period. Met these cats many times from my boy Nick Ngo (17 Hertz) and they always show love for the Bay.

Street cred goes a long way. Rep’ your hood, but if you ain’t hood, don’t front like you are!

Oh yeah, that piece is real nice too.
